Jake is ONE!!!

Boy does time fly! He turned one already! We had his birthday party on Saturday and its was fun. We had a construction party, we love trucks at our house. The family came over and we were lucky to have my mom and dad down for the weekend, thanks for all your help! Jake got a bike, airplane and wagon, that must mean he is a mover. He loves to ride around. He wants to sit in the wagon all day and can't quite figure out how to get out. So that is our chore lately. Time flew by so fast. I can't believe it has been a year. It must go faster with each kid. Happy Birthday Jakey!

Disneyland!!!

So we went to Disneyland at the first of March. Jaxon loves Mickey Mouse and has been asking to go for months so we needed a little sunshine since it is so dreary lately. We drove over Sunday night and it was slick, the kids were great. On Monday we went to the beach, which was awesome, the kids love the sand. The water was freezing but Jaxon didn't even mind. He was jumping waves with Jeff and his cousins forever! This was surprising because when we went to Hawaii in Nov. he wanted nothing to do with those big waves. We just relaxed all day. Tuesday was Disneyland. It was a perfect day to go, the longest we waited was tops 15 minutes. I had not been to Disneyland for like eight years, for my senior trip, and Jeff hadn't been for eleven. So lots of it was new. Right as we walked in Mickey was there, Jax was waving and trying to run to him. Now they make you wait in line to see all the characters which was a bummer but just to see Mickey was enough to make him happy. The first ride everyone wanted to go on was pirates, Jax didn't want to go but I told him it would be fine, like I could remember what it was like I've only been there twice in my life. He went and got scared I felt so bad. Then everyone wanted to go to the haunted mansion he was not doing that so we waited and watched Splash Mtn. He loved winnie the pooh. We finally made it to Toon Town which was his favorite. He got to hug Mickey Mouse and I've never seen him so excited. Jake was a dream the whole time, even took a two-three hour nap in the stroller! Jeff and I got to go on space mtn. and splash mtn. which was fun. We left at about 7pm which was perfect for the kids. Jeff flew home on Wednesday for work and we just played by the pool and hung out till Friday when we drove home. It was such a great trip. The kids almost had just as much fun swimming at the pool at the hotel, Jaxon was even holding his breath underwater and trying to swim. Oh, one incident I will never forget. We are just abou the start potty training, he has gone a lot in the potty. We were at lunch and there was a slide at the restaurant, I could tell Jax had to poop. So we went in the potty and it was great. Came back out and just as I was about to put on a new diaper he says uh-oh and shows me his poopy hand. He had pooped on the slide and smeared it all over the slide and down the steps. It was nasty, with other kids trying to play. Needless to say it took me forever to clean it all out. At least he pooped in the toilet too , right?

110 miles or BUST!

This is their first stop in Hurricane, Jeff is the yellow and black one at the back!

Good job dad, Jaxon is all about bike races!

Just eating a little moon pie snack

Up the big hill to Zion

This is at the finish line.

Jeff did his first century ride on Saturday and did awesome, he rode with his cousin Ryan Thomas. It was fun to be able to see him at the stops on the race. They rode from Bloomington up through Hurricane and to the park entrance of Zion and back. His legs were pretty sore but not as bad as he had thought, he said he will do it again so it must have not been too bad. He is one tough dad! Good job Jeff!

Cabin Fever

Jake and mom sledding off the roof.
Jake eating snow, mmm!
Jaxon and dad, snowmobiling buddies!
From the inside window, this is for Jayme.
The boys going for a ride
Sunrise, just Beautiful!
Watching Charlotte's Web with Grandma.
Scout Juice!!!
The result of "scout juice"!
He wore this practically the whole time! "Mom, where my helmet? Put it on. "

We had our first sleepover at the new cabin! We snowmobiled up Thursday night and boy was it cold up there. Jaxon rode with Mari up on the snowmobile and did pretty good considering, even when they crashed on the side of the cliff. Mari said she wanted to cry she was so scared but had to say Yeah, this is fun for Jaxon's sake. Thankfully we borrowed Jadyn's helmet and it fit great, a little top heavy, but great! We got the cabin heated up nicely considering the amount of space we had to heat and luckily our room heats up the fastest. It was a bit tricky sleeping with both the boys in our queen bed, I felt like a stick figure, I just tried not to move so I didn't get kicked. It warmed up quite nicely with the fire and heater going. On Friday we made pancakes and then us girls went on a little cross-country skiing adventure, I even got both Mari and Bev to go down into the pond and they did great! The guys cut woood, picked up Jeff, snowblowed all the snow off of the decks. Jaxon and Connor had fun going down the slide and watching movies and just playing. Jaxon and I were the first to try out sledding off of the roof, he did so good! Jeff and I were able to go snowmobiling together and skiing, it so nice to have such great family to help us and have fun with. One of the funniest things was the "scout juice". Grandpa was in charge of the fire and used lighter fluid to get it going, Jaxon thought this was the coolest thing he had ever seen, and so Grandpa came up with the name and Jaxon wanted more and more scout juice anytime anyone stoked the fire. It was seriously a blast, it makes me want to stay up there all week. Here are some pics of our adventure.

Pantry Raid

So Jaxon told me he was hungry and I just kept putting him off again and again(hope I'm not the only one). Then both of the boys got quiet and I started wondering what they were up to. The door to the pantry was closed and Jaxon was raiding the cookies and feeding them to Jake (at least he was sharing I suppose) So now I have to keep an eye on Jaxon when he is hungry for a snack because he won't tell me now, he'll just help himself to anything in the pantry.

Jaxon was a crack up tonight! Nate, my brother who is living with us, put on some music and turned it up for him and he just started dancing. Its kind of at an odd angle but I thought it was fun.
